TIFF

TIFF stands for Tag Image File Format, a lossless cross-platform (both Windows and Macintosh) rasterized file format. When saving a file as a TIFF, you can choose between a number of different compression formats including none, LZW, JPEG, and packbits. If you choose none, your image will be saved uncompressed like a BMP. If you choose LZW, your image will be saved like a GIF using the Lempel-Ziv-Welch (LZW) algorithm to reduce file size. If you choose JPEG, FotoFinish will apply a lossy compression to the image. If you choose packbits, FotoFinish will look for repeating image information to compress the file you are saving.

You can also choose between two different color signatures: RGB and CMYK.
